Mari is an authorized Shihan (Teacher) of the Jikiden Institute in Kyoto, Japan. She has been trained by Tadao Yamaguchi, the Chairman of the Jikiden Reiki Institute and Frank Arjava Petter, the Vice Chairman of the Jikiden Reiki Institute.

Mari began her Reiki practice in 1980 and began teaching Reiki in 1983. In 1989 she founded and still directs the International Association of Reiki.

 

She has worked beside doctors in clinics treating people and animals with Reiki. In 2010 Mari began to practice Jikiden Reiki exclusively and has been teaching Jikiden Reiki since 2011.

 

She is Frank Arjava’s US organizer for his courses.
